Wedding video classical music license

Couples ask for Canon, Air on the G String, and Clair de lune by name, and videographers need those cues cleared for highlight reels, full films, and social teasers without label drama. Classical Sync covers wedding videography directly: the Creator tier names wedding videos as a covered use for one project or series, the masters are owned recordings never registered with Content ID, and each license includes a verification URL the couple can show if their upload gets flagged. One payment per track, perpetual rights for the film.

Recommended starting tier: Creator $29 one-time

What this license covers for weddings

The Creator tier covers wedding videos as part of one project or series with unlimited views, which maps cleanly onto a wedding deliverable: the full film, the highlight reel, and the social teasers for the same couple count as one project. You also get monetized YouTube coverage for posting the film on your studio channel and streaming podcast coverage if you publish audio versions. The license is perpetual and worldwide, so anniversary reposts and portfolio use never need renewals.

Book Commercial instead when you shoot as a vendor delivering to third party clients across many weddings and want multi project use for the same licensee, or when the music will sit inside paid advertising for your studio. Couples posting only their own film are fully covered by Creator. Either way the deliverables are identical: WAV, license PDF, and verification URL for every track.

Which tracks fit the wedding day

Bach Air on the G String is the processional standard: lyric, calm, and dignified for seating, bridal entrance, and candle light moments. The Mozart Clarinet Concerto second movement and Piano Concerto No. 21 second movement are equally serene beds for vows, readings, and dinner montages. All three sit under spoken audio without competing, which is exactly what ceremony sound needs.

Chopin Nocturne in E-flat major brings romantic piano for first dances, portrait sessions, and slow motion details. Debussy Clair de lune is the dreamy closer for golden hour footage, sparkler exits, and end credits. Each cut runs under a minute in this catalog, so loop a calm section for long ceremonies or stack two cuts for highlight reels that move from tender to joyful.

How to use them in wedding films

Build the film around the ceremony audio first, then lay music beds underneath at levels that respect vows and speeches: lyric strings tolerate a slightly higher bed than piano, which shares frequencies with speech. Use one calm cut for the ceremony, one romantic cut for portraits, and save the brightest cut for the reception and credits. License each track you publish with, naming the couple project at checkout so the paperwork matches the deliverable.

Send the couple the verification URL with their gallery so their own uploads to YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook carry proof of rights. If a platform mutes or claims the film, the couple answers with the license ID and verification link, and you can back them with the license PDF from your files. Never hand over the standalone WAV as a keepsake track, since resale and redistribution of the recording are excluded.

Content ID and couple uploads

Wedding films get flagged constantly because couples upload the same beloved pieces recorded by major labels, and platform systems cannot tell recordings apart by title. Our masters avoid that trap at the source: they are not registered with Content ID and we claim no revenue from licensed uses. The risk that remains is a third party mismatch against another recording of the same public-domain piece, which the verification page resolves.

Keep the license ID on the invoice or delivery email so the couple can find it years later when they repost an anniversary cut. If a claim appears, email support with the license ID, verification URL, and video URL, and we use commercially reasonable efforts to release our claim within 10 business days. One Creator payment per track covers the film forever, with upgrades available if the studio reuses the cut in paid ads.

FAQ

Does one Creator license cover the full film plus the teaser?

Yes. A Creator license covers one project or series, so the full wedding film, highlight reel, and social teasers for the same couple are one project. A different couple is a different project and needs its own license, unless you hold Commercial with multi project use for your studio as the licensee.

What should I give the couple for their uploads?

Give them the verification URL and the license ID. If YouTube or Instagram flags their upload, they paste the verification link in the dispute and the reviewer sees the track, tier, and licensee without needing your email. Keep the license PDF yourself as the studio record.

What does a Classical Sync license cover?

You license our software rendered master recording for one named project under the tier you buy, perpetual and worldwide. Creator ($29 one time) covers one project or series, including monetized YouTube with platform served ads, streaming podcasts, and wedding videos. Commercial ($99 one time) adds client and freelance work, music inside paid web and social advertising, small business marketing, and multi project use for the same licensee. Broadcast and Film ($499 one time) adds TV, radio, cinema, theatrical film, festivals, streaming and VOD productions, and broadcast advertising. Title to the recording stays with Magnolia Apps LLC. Every tier delivers the WAV, the license PDF, and a public verification URL.

Will this music trigger a YouTube Content ID claim?

Our masters are not registered with Content ID as reference files, so a licensed use starts claim free from our side. If a claim still appears, email licensing@thepodcastapp.dev with your license ID, your public verification URL, and the video URL. We use commercially reasonable efforts to release our claim within 10 business days of a complete notice. Third party or automated platform claims can still occur on any platform, and that pledge covers our own enrollment of the delivered master.

Do I have to credit the composer or Classical Sync?

No attribution is required. The underlying compositions are in the public domain, and you license only our recording of them from Magnolia Apps LLC. A credit line such as the track title and composer is welcome but optional. What you must not do is register the recording with a PRO, Content ID, or fingerprinting service, resell it as a standalone audio product or sample library, or sublicense it beyond delivering your named project.

What files do I receive after checkout?

Every license includes the licensed WAV (delivered by a 15 minute signed download URL and by email), a license PDF that records the terms version, hash, timestamp, Master ID, and SHA-256, plus a public verification URL of the form /verify?id= that proves the license to YouTube, clients, or distributors. Checkout runs through Stripe, one payment per track, with a 14 day money back guarantee. Keep the license ID with your project files so any dispute can be answered in one email.
